Presteigne. Please click here

letter gives clear directions.
Opening Times
The Stagg Inn is closed on Sunday Evenings and all day on Monday. We do
not have guests staying on either evening. We do open on some Sunday Evenings
before a Bank Holiday, please e-mail for details.
We open at 12pm with last food orders at 2pm.
We re-open at 6.30pm with last food orders at 9.30pm and last drinks at 11.45pm.
We do not serve morning coffee or afternoon tea, all bedrooms have facilities for tea and coffee making with fresh milk and real coffee.
We close for 10 days in November and January on Christmas Day and the following 2 days and New Year’s Day.

It is always helpful to book a table and essential at the weekends.

To enquire about accommodation availability please phone or e-mail. To book, we will need to speak over the phone as we do ask for credit card details.
Cancellation policy
If you have to cancel within 7 days of your booked stay, we will charge
50% of room rate if we are unable to re-let the room.
Accessibility
The Stagg is an old building, built on a slope and has been enlarged
many times over the years. All rooms are on different levels. One of our
dining rooms has disabled access through a fire door which can only be
opened internally; unfortunately the toilets are not easily reached from
there at present. Our main door into the bar is not regulation width but
wheelchairs can and do get into the bar. At present people can still smoke
in the bar which is the main difference between eating in there and in
one of the dining rooms. All bedrooms in the Stagg Inn are up the pub
staircase, which is fairly wide and gentle. The Vicarage staircase is
not so easy as the stairs are listed with the banister pre-dating the
house. We have no disabled toilets at present. Please phone to discuss
accessibility issues further and we will be delighted to help.
Smoking Policy
We are fairly relaxed here in the country. People are still allowed
to smoke in the bar and in the pub bedrooms, (though nobody ever does).
The Vicarage bedrooms are non-smoking though guests can still smoke in
the guest sitting- room, (though again, nobody ever does).
Children
Children are welcome at The Stagg and we are happy to provide
half portions of all dishes, food without sauces etc. We have one highchair
and a ‘z- bed’. We do not have a cot or children’s play
area in the pub garden.
Dogs and Cats
Dogs are welcome in the bar at The Stagg
and in pub bedrooms. They are not permitted in the Vicarage bedrooms,
but can come into the guest sitting room. George, our chocolate Labrador
lives at The Vicarage as do our cats, should allergies be a problem.
